Description:
Assume a range of strategic Human Resource responsibilities for the R&D business.
Work with HR Director for the region and HR Partners, to implement organisational design plans at HQ level and where required, in local operating affiliates.
Deliver a commercially focused HR function that can support the research and implementation of company HR policy changes, oversight for employee contracts and compensation, hiring of key European staff, and providing legal advice on terminations including resignations, redundancies and dismissals.
Work with HR colleagues and senior management to build cultural and behavioural values for company.
Develop a strong strategic presence for HR in European region.
Deliver leading edge Human Resources practices that add increased value to the business that will include the following: talent management, retention, strategic hiring, re-deployment, and training and development.
Pro-actively support the integration process as the business expands, pro-actively identifying additional resources needed for the European region.
Improve the engagement of employees through the implementation of HR tools designed to aid retention and creative programmes focused towards employee satisfaction.
Qualifications:
A graduate, chartered HR professional with many years experience in an international HR function.
Previous knowledge of the medical devices, pharmaceutical or life sciences industries is an advantage.
Proven success in delivering HR change programmes.
Current knowledge of HR best practice and HR laws, guidelines and compensation mechanisms.
European regional experience is important.
Capacity to interact with senior management and executives across the region. A range of personal qualities that are suited to the fulfilling of this role, such as communication, presentation, tactical and strategic thinking, systems knolwedge, detail oriented, influencing, goal oriented.
